Eleni Roberts Kazouri (b. 1998) is a dancer and maker sharing her time between Brussels and Athens. She studied dance and performance at Rallou Manou Professional Dance School and obtained a BA in dance from P.A.R.T.S. school in Brussels in 2022. Since then, she has been working as a freelance performer for choreographers, visual and emerging artists. In MIR 2023 she was the co-performer of Despina Sanida Crezia in smashing Down to Under. In 2024 Eleni started a common project with Vladimir Babinchuk researching and moving, with the urge to connect choreographic practices and political struggle.
Vladimir Babinchuk (b. 2001) is a Brussels-based dancer, performer, and visual artist of Ukrainian and Portuguese heritage. He completed his BA in Dance at P.A.R.T.S. in 2022. Since then, he has collaborated with choreographers, filmmakers, and visual artists including Ula Sickle, Miet Warlop, and Elen Braga. In 2024, he started his MA in Fine Arts at Sint Lukas University in Antwerp, to deepen his artistic and political discourse in the socio-political context, across works for stage, for museums, and for the public space. His practice explores the intersections of choreography, politics, and visual culture, with a focus on how resistance can be embodied, staged, and re-imagined.
Eleni and Vladimir are fellows of Centrale Fies in Milan, in the frame of Live Works, for the season 2025-2026. darkwaves, commissioned and co-produced by MIR, is their first full length piece.
